I love that you're doing Otomni animals in gouache again—those placement prints from 2017 were really striking. The idea of collectors lining up a full day early for a post-it note show is wild, but I guess when you've got 300+ artists in one tiny format, the buzz makes sense.
Small-format art and bead patterns
The 3-by-3-inch Post-it format is such a good creative constraint. I like how your Otomni animals keep their character even at that size. I work on ImageToBeads, a tool for turning images into bead patterns, so I often think about the same question: which colours and details survive when an illustration has to fit a small grid? I'd be curious to see one of these animals interpreted as a tiny bead piece.
The 3x3 Post-it is basically a tiny mission map
Really like the idea of 300+ artists each working inside the same 3x3 Post-it constraint. That is a lot like writing a spoiler-light 007 First Light mission route: the small format forces you to leave out everything except the essential next step. Are the Post-its arranged by artist or by color at the gallery?
300+ artists on tiny Post-Its feels like a smart discovery forma
I love the constraint of 300+ artists each working on a 3 x 3" Post-It—it makes the show feel like a quick, tactile product discovery wall. Collectors lining up 24 hours in advance says a lot about how well that format works. I would be curious to hear which pieces stood out most on opening night.
That GR2 Post-It wall is like a tiny puzzle gallery
I love that the show packs 300+ artists onto 3x3 Post-Its—each one really does feel like a small game world to explore. Are you going to have any new pieces in the opening night lineup?
